How can I get medical insurance from AFHIL?

  • Request a quotation through the app or contact us directly.
  • We will send you one of our delegates to assist you in filling a medical insurance application form.
  • Payment of premium can be made directly to the delegate or at AFHIL offices.
  • You have up to 8 months to pay your entire premium.

Medical Administration Procedure

afhilcardEMERGENCY ROOM COVERAGE

For cases requiring urgent health, you have to submit the Emergency Room staff with the following documents:

  • Identity card
  • Afhil Card

The hospital registers the case and informs MEDNET Hostesses
The terms and conditions of the coverage are then determined and you will only be responsible for the settlement of the access deductible, when applicable.

 

IN-HOSPITAL STAY COVERAGE

For cold cases, you can choose to contact AFHIL’S office, which will asisst you in submitting the pre-admission formalities at the hospital, or you can address yurself directly to the admission desk of the hospital which will register the case and inform MEDNET Hostesses. In both cases, you should submit:

  • Identity Papers
  • AFHIL Card
  • Medical Report for admission filled and signed by the attending physician and recent laboratory or diagnostic results must be attached
  • Emergency cases that only include doctors consultation and revision are not covered

 

OUT-AMBULATORY COVERAGE

With The ambulatory coverage, if applicable on your AFHIL card, you should submit the following:

  • Identity card
  • AFHIL card
  • Medical Report not exceeding 15 days,signed and stamped by the physician specialized in his field

How do I know if my medical case is covered under AFHIL medical insurance?

In case your disease or procedure is not included in this mobile app or in your policy contract you can call AFHIL’s offices or GlobeMed Lebanon for further assistance.

What do I do in case of a claim?

Emergencies

Present the hospital’s emergency room staff with the following:

  • Your Identity card
  • Your AFHIL card
  • The hospital registers the case and informs GlobeMed delegates.

Emergency cases that only include doctor’s consultation and revision are not covered.

Non Urgent Cases

Contact AFHIL’s office

We will assist you in submitting the administrative formalities at the hospital, or you can address yourself directly to the admission desk of the hospital which will register the case and inform GlobeMed delegates.

You need to present the following:

  • Your identity card
  • Your AFHIL card
  • Your medical report for admission filled and signed by the attending physician. Recent laboratory or diagnostic result must be attached as well.

Outpatient

Present the following:

  • Your identity card
  • Your AFHIL card
  • A medical report not exceeding 15 days signed and stamped by the corresponding specialized physician.

I have a medical insurance with another company. Will you provide me with continuity of coverage?

If you have medical insurance with another company or mutual fund you can renew your coverage with AFHIL without worrying about waiting for one year before being covered for pre-existing health conditions and maternity.

Your existing medical policy insurance must not have been expired for more than one month.

My husband is not insured with AFHIL. Will you cover me for maternity?

If your husband is covered by another medical program (e.g. group coverage) you can still be covered by our medical insurance program without your husband. Any maternity related clain will be covered however as of your second year with us.
